Here we can see “Run Android Apps on Windows / Linux PC, Mac, or Chrome OS with Google Chrome”
Google Chrome OS becomes more interesting because the company is now accepting Android applications which will run as if they were native. In the last year, Google I/O event Google has announced Android Apps running on Chrome OS.
After launching a limited App Runtime for Chrome (ARC) back in September, Google is expanding its beta project to permit Android apps to run on Windows, OS X, and Linux. It’s an early experiment designed primarily for developers. Still, anyone can now download an APK of an existing Android app and launch it on a Windows / Linux PC, Mac, or Chrome OS through ARC welder.
In short, developers need three things to run the Android apps :
- An APK of the appliance they want to check
- A PC, Mac or Chromebook running Chrome v40 or later
- The ARC Welder app from the Chrome Web Store
After installing the way to Run Android apps through ARC Welder App, follow these steps:
- Open ARC Welder
- Add .apk
- Set configuration values (layout, orientation, etc.)
Considering there are many Android apps currently available, Google’s App Runtime for Chrome beta can form Windows / Linux PC, Mac, or Chrome OS devices more desirable, both for consumers and enterprises.
