This method is a bit challenging for a layman since it involves scripting multiple PowerShell commands. Following the steps outlined below will make this task much more accessible.

  1. Using the Windows key to search
  2. So, what is PowerShell?
  3. Right-click PowerShell and choose Run as administrator.
  4. Write the following command in the blue screen app. Get-AppxPackage (extension name) This shows the extension’s package name. This is for later use.
  5. To uninstall the extension, use the command below. Get-AppxPackage *your extension name* | Remove-AppxPackage and press If this doesn’t work, move on to the next step. If not, skip stepping 2.
  6. You can alternatively enter the package name of the extension you want to uninstall, e.g. Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.TranslatorforMicrosoftEdge | Remove-AppxPackageTranslatorforMicrosoftEdge is the package name we got in step 4.
