The User Device Tracker Setup

  2. It will first ask you to generate an admin password. Enter your password and hit Enter.
  3. Then navigate to Network Discovery > Settings.
  4. Click on Add New Discovery to find your network.
  5. When you click it, the Network Sonar Wizard opens up with four options for discovering your network. Or utilize the Active Directory Domain Controller. Then click Next.
  6. On the Agents tab, click Next.
  7. For Virtualization and Configuration Management, click Next.
  8. On the SNMP page, select Next if you aren’t using SNMPv3 community strings. If one of your devices uses a different SNMPv1 or SNMPv2 community string, click Add Credential.
  9. Then, under the Windows tab, select Add New Credential and provide the relevant information. Next.
  10. For Windows devices, choose WMI as the polling technique. This doesn’t mean SNMP will be ignored; it means WMI will be prioritized. Continue by selecting ‘Manually set up monitoring after devices are detected.’
  11. Give the discovery a name and click Next.
  12. To begin the discovery, click Discover on the Scheduling page.

Adding Found Devices

After utilizing the Network Sonar Wizard to find your devices, you must add them to the User Device Tracker. How to:
