Here we can see “Google Chrome – Class Not Registered Error”
Users have reported issues opening Google Chrome, where they’re presented with a category Not Registered Error. the difficulty can occur no matter which OS you’re on. This is because there’s a registry ruin that triggers this error. Generally, if you browse to the particular directory where Chrome is installed, it should open. For example, c:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome on a 64-bit system or c:\Program Files\Google\Chrome on a 32-bit system. However, which will not help resolve the difficulty. During this guide, I will walk you through a few steps to deal with the problem permanently by addressing the registry issues.
On your Computer, Hold the Windows Key and Press R to open Run Dialog. Within the Run Dialog, type regedit.exe and click on OK.
Now take a backup of the registry hive if you delete incorrect keys and find yourself having more issues than now. Within the left pane, click Computer, then click File -> Export -> and save the File as registry-backup.
Once done, browse to the subsequent keys and delete them. BE CAREFUL! Delete only those keys listed below, the subkeys (not the basis keys). For example: once you expand HKY_CLASSES_ROOT, search for the Chrome folder. Right-click thereon and delete it.
HKLM\Software\Classes\Chrome (all of it)
HKCU\Software\Classes\Chrome (all of it)
Once the keys are deleted, reboot your PC, then test to ascertain if Chrome is functioning. If you finish deleting the wrong keys, you’ll import the registry hive by opening the registry editor and clicking File -> Import -> choose the File you saved.
